Ms. Donielle Bailey Horst
(Ballet, Modern, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary, Acro)
Donielle holds a BFA in Modern Dance Performance from The University of the Arts where she graduated with Honors. In the seven years following graduation, Donielle taught all forms of dance throughout Berks County. Musical Theatre credits include The Meeting House Thriller at The Allenberry Resort Inn and Playhouse. Donielle danced with Ronen Koresh and performed two of his repertory pieces, All Will Be Before Become and Inevitable. She acted as the Assistant to the Director of the Eastern PA Ballet Theatre and performed as a soloist in The Nutcracker (Snow Queen, Arabian, Sugar Plum). Choreographic credits include Aida and Beauty and the Beast for Kutztown High School, Stars of the Future for the Outstanding Young Woman Program, and Journey which was showcased in Philadelphia. Donielle is also PowerHouse Pilates and NESTA Sport Yoga certified. She judges Dance competitions throughout the US.
Donielle opened Horizons in 2007 and is thrilled to be enjoying her 12th season!
 
 
 
Ms. Amber Blatt  
(Tap, Ballet, Combo, Jazz)
Amber has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA.  Credits include Dance Captain and Show Manager at Idlewild Park, Villa Roma Resorts, and Sea Escape Cruise Ship, as well as touring the country and South Africa.  Amber is also a performer and resident choreographer for Pines Dinner Theatre in Allentown, Pa. She choreographs and directs for Tulpehocken High School and Wyoming Valley West High School. Thank you to Ms. Amber for sharing her talents with us for the past 7 years.  Looking forward to many more!
 
 
 
Ms. Laura Gaydos
(Ballet, Lyrical)
Laura began her training in Maryland at Cecil Dance Center and went on to receive a BFA in Dance Education from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Upon graduating in 2005 Laura performed with “Simply the Best,” a traveling Tina Turner revue starring Suzette Dorsey. In 2011, she toured the country and internationally with Sesame Street Live as Zoe in “Elmo’s Super Heroes.”  Laura has taught at numerous studios and universities and her students have gone on to dance for the 76ers, Sesame Place, Philly Soul and the prestigious Rock School for Dance Education. We welcome Laura back for her 9th year!




Ms. Kaitlyn Gaito
(Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet)
Kaitlyn began her dance training at the age of 4 in the Philadelphia area.  She performed throughout the Tri-State area where she received several scholarships.  Kaitlyn recently received her BFA in Dance with Honors from The University of the Arts. She was a featured dancer for Good Morning America & the ABC Thanksgiving Parade.  Her choreography has been showcased at Carnegie Hall & she has staged works for the Harlem Globetrotters and 76ers Pre-Show. Kaitlyn's Choreography earned her the distinction as a  "RAW Artist", a select group of internationally known choreographers, a commissioned event.  We are truly thrilled to welcome Kaitlyn to Horizons for her 1st season!
 

 

Ms. Haley Delcid
(Ballet/Lyrical, Acro)
A former Horizons’ Dancer, Haley is a 2013 graduate of The University of Valley Forge with a BA Degree in Intercultural Studies. Haley has studied all forms of dance since the age of 3 and was a Horizons’ Student-Teaching Intern. She excelled in this role just as she has excelled at dance competitions throughout PA.  Haley has instructed dance internationally in Belgium, where she used her skills in Dance Therapy exercises.  She has been a Guest Judge for 5 years at the Sectional and National Levels of the National Fine Arts Festival, and has acted as the Dance Captain for the "Front Line" Hip Hop Troupe.  We wish Haley the best with the Launch of her own Business, "Facet", Make-up by Haley!
 
 

 
Mr. Matthew Zimmerman
(Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop)
Matthew found his love for dance at the age of 8.  He trained the last 6 years at Horizons Dance Conservatory and previously with Melanie Wright and Berks Ballet Theatre. Matthew is trained in all genres but finds his true passion in Contemporary & Ballet.  While at Horizons, he was a Student-Teaching Intern for 5 years.  Matthew also attended the Pennsylvania Regional Ballet and the Joffrey New York City Jazz & Contemporary Intensives. His solo choreography & performance "Head vs. Heart" was recently showcased in Philadelphia at the Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers Inhale Performance Series.  Matthew is currently a company member of West Chester's Brandywine Ballet. We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Matt back to the Horizons' Staff!
 


Ms. Sarah Degler 
(Guest Artist) 
A Former Horizons' Dancer, Sarah is a graduate of Towson University in Maryland, where she studied under Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell, Runqiao Du, Susan Mann, Betsy Romer, & Sandra Perez.  She has also performed with Charm City Ballet & The Towson University Dance Company.  In 2017, she received the Towson Dance Dept.'s Outstanding Dance Educator Award.  Sarah graduated summa cum laude in May of 2018 with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography as well as a PreK-12 Dance Education Certification.  Currently, she is an elementary dance integration specialist for Baltimore County Public Schools.  We are excited to have Sarah share her talents with the Horizons' students this coming season!

 

Ms. Shelby Kauffman
(Substitute)
Shelby is a 2017 Graduate of Kutztown University with a Major in Social Work & a Minor in Psychology.  Currently, she is pursuing her Master's Degree in Social Work.  Shelby has been dancing since the age of 3 and is a former Horizons' Dancer & Student Teacher.  She was also on the Horizons' Staff for 3 years prior.  We are excited to welcome Shelby back as a substitute this season!  Shelby is also a certified Emergency Medical Technician & Vehicle Rescue Technician, and she volunteers at the Shartlesville Fire Company. 
 
 

 
Ms. Alexis Bixler
( Jazz, Acro)
Alexis is a former Horizons’ dancer and is a graduate from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a BFA in dance. She has been training in all styles of dance since the age of 3 and was also a Horizons’ student teaching intern during a few of her years at the studio. Alexis competed throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In addition to this, she has been cast in pieces choreographed by Anne White (School of American Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet), Jesse Zaritt (Shen Wei Dance Arts Company, Inbal Pinto Dance Company), and Sidra Bell (Sidra Bell Dance NY).
