Staff Bios

​Ms. Donielle Bailey Horst (Proprietor/Artistic Director)

Donielle is pursuing her Ed.D. in Dance Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. She holds Dual MFA degrees in Choreography & Creative Writing & has lectured at Messiah University (Resident Guest Choreographer), Albright, Alvernia, Jacksonville, and The Institute of Classical & Modern Dance (Mumbai, India). She has presented her practice-based-research, “Unlocking the Unknown Via a Methodology of Play,” at the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) and the Lancaster Learns Conference. Her latest proposal, "Bridging the Gap: The Exploratory vs. The Competitive," was presented at the Dance Studio Virtual Summit for NDEO. Donielle's writing, “Watch Over Me,” was published in Isele Magazine. Her Pilates Practitioner journey spans over 20 years. She is Fletcher Pilates Mat Certified, Powerhouse Pilates Mat Certified, and her Reformer Certification took place under Jessica Roberts, a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT). She currently instructs at Well & Wild Pilates in Kutztown, PA and Club Pilates in Allentown. Donielle is the owner of Horizons Dance Conservatory (19 years) where she implements a heuristic approach to dance education. Ms. Regina Byrne (Assistant Director)

Regina recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Chester University with a BSEd in Secondary English Education and a Minor in Dance. She was the Captain & a member of the West Chester University Dance Team for 3 years. Regina performed and choreographed biannually with the University Dance Company (UDC). She represented UDC at the 2024 American College Dance Association. Regina serves as the Assistant Director of Horizons Dance Conservatory and spends her days educating junior high students at Wilson School District.

 

Ms. Sarah Edris (Instructor)

Sarah is a graduate of Kutztown University with a BA in Anthropology & a Minor in Pennsylvania German Studies. The current Event Coordinator & Museum Registrar for the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center, Sarah presented her work, “Being Dutch: PA German Art & Expressive Culture,” at Kutztown University's Human Diversity Conference. She has studied dance for 20+ years with a primary focus on Ballet & Pointe. Sarah choreographs solo works, continues to love the art of performing, & shares her passion for photography with us.
